Discount stores
In the last eight months discounters’ share from grocery retail’s revenue was 22 percent, while their share from the sales of household chemicals and cosmetics was 12 percent. It is noteworthy that in the latter category both value and volume sales rose 19 percent. Household paper products’ share was high and their sales were growing dynamically in this channel. From the ten highest-turnover household chemicals and cosmetics categories, sales went above discounters’ average share of 12 percent in seven: toilet paper, tissue, detergent, nappies, fabric softener, washing-up liquid and general cleaner.
