Displays: five golden rules
Gord Collins, a strategist with Ravenshoe Packaging (Canada) defined 5 important rules, which if kept can make displays successful. On his blog, called Between the Shelves, he published the following golden rules for displays: 1. be visible – be special and unusual; 2. simplify your message; 3. be original – if you stand out from the crowd shoppers’ attention will be raised; 4. be cost efficient – thanks to modern technology cardboard can look as good as metal, wood or glass; 5. be environmentally friendly – use recycled materials.
