He organized a nut presentation for Nébih and NAK Pölöske
The National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) and the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) held a nut presentation in Pölöske on September 28.
During the presentation, possible solutions to the challenges facing the domestic nut sector were discussed at the Nébih Breeding Experiment Station. After the opening of the event, Gábor Várszegi, the head of the Nébih Agricultural Genetic Resources Directorate (MGEI), presented the rules for plant protection treatment with drones, using the example of the entire procedure, from drone pilot training to the use of pesticides. The personal conditions related to legal drone plant protection can now be fully met, as a comprehensive legislative environment is currently available. This information, such as the list of licensed drone pilots, was made available by Nébih on its website.
This is a particularly topical issue in domestic walnut production, as new pests have appeared, which are difficult to control due to the large trees
Annamária Tüh spoke about nut plant protection based on her experience in trans-Danubian operations in recent years. Dr. Zsolt Szani presented Hungarian nut varieties with real novelty value, which can be integrated into intensive technology. During the professional day, the variety-specific pruning technology in walnut cultivation and the market overview of walnuts were also discussed. The event ended with a viewing of the variety trial plots, with a drone demonstration. Station manager Ferenc Szili explained the pruning of the experimental walnut plots and the practical methods.
