A melon trade mark is planned to be introduced
The introduction of the melon trade aims to make consumers distinguish the Hungarian melons from foreign melons easier – Horváth Zoltán, Baranya county government commissioner told M1 news channel on Friday.
In the next period, the local leaders of the chamber are beginning to develop this legal possibility and form, “he said.
Rittlinger József, president of the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) said: “Melon is grown on 270 hectares in Baranya County. Due to the high number of sunny hours, the Hungarian melons are available since the beginning of the month”. (MTI)
