Melon Market: cooperation with the trading companies
To reach success in the Hungarian agriculture, including the watermelon sector cooperation is essential – emphasized Fazekas Sándor Rural Development Minister on Wednesday in Budapest, at the opening event of Tesco’s Hungarian watermelon promotion campaign.
The Ministry of Rural Development and the Agrármarketing Centrum (Agricultural Marketing Centre) this year jointly promotes the Hungarian melon in order to strengthen its market position, in which Fazekas Sándor Rural Development Minister and Budai Gyula Parliamentary State Secretary also take part. The Minister announced that the cooperation between the ministry, the relevant professional organizations and the trading companies is important for the 15 thousand domestic melon farmers, because it can contribute to the stability in the sector.
