Melon Day will be held on Saturday in Ópusztaszer
Ten cwts of mellifluent watermelon will be transported to Ópusztaszer on Saturday, to the National Historical Memorial Park where teh melon day will be held at the Szegedi farm of the museum.
At noon, the visitors can learn about the traditional methods of melon cultivation and find out what are the criterias of the mellow watermelon – said Kovács-Seregi Szabina, press referee of the institution.
The most courageous guest can try, how much they can eat from the fruit in half an hour, the record is more than three kilograms. (MTI)
