The honey industry improving dynamically in Romania
Romania's honey production may increase by 10 percent this year, reaching 23,700 tons. Romania’s honey production last year, was 21,500 tons, while 20 000 tons in 2008.
The number of bee colonies also increased: while in 2008, 1,109,000 Families were counted, one year later, 1.12 million was in the inventory. This is also due to the significant increase in resources in the National Beekeeping Programme in the 2008-2010 period.
Romania imported 230 tons of honey last year, while exported more than 3,500 tons – reports szabadfold.hu.
