Kaufland expands aggressively in northern Germany
It is rumoured, that Schwarz Group acquiring Famila hypermarkets from Bünting and Bartels-Langness in the future.
According to Lebensmittel Zeitung,
Schwarz Group’s Kaufland is planning 70 additional hypermarkets and
a new distribution centre in northern Germany. The construction of
the 74,000 square metres distribution site in Barsinghausen near
Hannover will start this year and is to be completed in autumn 2011.
Schwarz Group will reportedly invest EUR150 million into the new
logistics centre.
