Dynamic wage growth in Romania
Romania’s average net wage in June was 15.5 percent higher than a year before – the Romanian National Institute of Statistics announced on Wednesday.
The average net salary reached 3142 RON (215,980 HUF) in June and the average gross wage was 5,127 RON (353,760 HUF). Inflation-adjusted real wages increased by 11.2 percent over the period under review. In June, real wages increased by 1.5 percent, compared to May. The highest wages were in the metallurgical and oil industries, the lowest in the textile industry.
