Free automated cybersecurity vulnerability scan from the Chamber
The Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MKIK) has launched its free cybersecurity service package called SecureBot. The program, which can be used free of charge after simple registration, helps SMEs comply with the EU Cybersecurity Directive, NIS2 and the Hungarian Cybersecurity Act and indicates to companies what malicious, external attacks they may be exposed to.
The solution created by the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MKIK) remotely scans the public services of businesses, identifies security vulnerabilities and sends a report with practical improvement suggestions to the registered user. The system is also capable of mass, parallel scans, so even checking multiple sites or devices simultaneously is not a problem. To start the scan, it is sufficient to register and enter the necessary technical parameters. The system also automatically handles legal statements and permissions.
– MKIK’s SecureBot solution helps to determine where our company can be attacked from the outside, and the service is free of charge. If a company does not check its own systems, then over time malicious attackers and hackers can do it for them – and they will not send repair instructions. I encourage all Hungarian small and medium-sized enterprises to use the free solution developed by the Chamber. With a little attention, they can prevent damage worth tens of millions of forints, highlighted Ákos Csókay, Secretary General of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
A separate module of the service package is the Automatic Cybersecurity Alert System (ARR), which filters global vulnerability databases, the registers of manufacturers, developers, and cybersecurity organizations tailored to the company’s IT environment, and sends only truly relevant warnings for individual programs that require immediate intervention. Thus, with the help of MKIK SecureBot, SMEs do not face hundreds or thousands of error reports per day, but only receive immediate, understandable information about the risks affecting their own systems.
The service also includes an accredited cybersecurity supplier and product catalog, in which registered enterprises can choose from reliable, qualified suppliers and solutions, ensuring a uniform level of protection and risk-proportionate information security.
The use of MKIK SecureBot is completely free of charge and is now available on the securebot.mkik.hu page. After registration, enterprises can immediately use the investigation, the alert system and the supplier database, as a joint project of the Chamber and the SZTFH, in order to strengthen the digital security of domestic SMEs.
