In addition to having several market-leading brands and export activities covering more than 60 countries, HELL paid special attention to sustainability in 2024, setting an example for both companies and consumers. This year, the world’s largest giant factory was inaugurated – where the production and filling of aluminum beverage cans are already taking place at one location -, the aluminum can FloeWater was launched on the market, and at the end of the year, the ALUMÁNIA program won the 2024 CSR Hungary Award.

At its launch, about 18 years ago, HELL voted in favor of aluminum cans. The decision proved to be far-sighted, and the company has steadfastly stuck to its former determination. Aluminum is an excellent raw material: its recycling is extremely energy-efficient, using only 5% of the energy required for primary production, and it can be recycled 100 percent without any loss of quality. Due to all these advantages, the HELL brand has opted for the aluminum can solution for all its beverages, including the newly launched FloeWater crystal clear water.

HELL places great emphasis on sustainability in the production of aluminum cans. By 2024, it will become the world leader, as with the handover of the new factory section, the domestic group of companies with the same owner will operate the world’s largest modern giant factory, which produces and fills aluminum beverage cans at one location. This model greatly supports the company’s sustainability efforts, as it can also minimize transportation needs, significantly reducing the logistical burden.

Thanks to the increased production capacity, the company can now produce up to 4 billion beverage cans and 6 billion filled finished products per year. Through its partners, they obtain recycled aluminum raw materials that meet the strictest requirements, so HELL products are made of a high percentage of recycled aluminum, thus reducing the use of primary raw materials. When selecting suppliers, the use of low-carbon technologies and alignment with the principles of the circular economy are also of paramount importance to the group.
