Lidl Hungary has received several prestigious professional awards in recent months, which have rewarded the company’s quality products, responsible employer operations and innovative marketing communications. These clearly confirm the company’s commitment to providing the best possible value for customers, employees and the community, and confirm that Lidl is not only a discount store chosen by customers, but also a recognized player in the industry.

The company is committed to always providing its customers with the best possible price-performance ratio, its employees with a stable and supportive workplace, and its partners with predictable, long-term cooperation. All of this is determined by responsible and ethical operations, support for domestic values ​​and continuous renewal. The awards won in recent months show that their efforts are recognized by the industry, whether it is about employee programs, activities aimed at reaching customers or quality products.

Special prize employee health program

Lidl does everything it can to reward its employees for their daily efforts, which is why it supports its employees with a number of tools, including also to preserve their health. The supermarket chain received a special award in the Caring Workplace of the Year 2025 competition for its program serving this purpose. Lidl operates a complex health program that includes, for example, annual private medical check-ups. In addition, in November, based on a survey by PwC Hungary, Lidl Hungary won the Most Attractive Workplace of the Year award in the retail category for the fourth time in a row.

Innovative campaigns

As a market leader, it is also of paramount importance for Lidl to continuously deepen emotional commitment to the brand and to be present as a relevant, attractive and lovable brand among the younger generations, who are the customers of the future. In recognition of this, the company’s TikTok Week initiative, which it entered in the “Retail” category, was awarded a Bronze Effie Award this year. Effie is one of the most prestigious awards in the marketing profession, which rewards not creativity, but demonstrably measurable results and marketing efficiency that brings business success. During TikTok Week, the company made products that went viral on social media platforms available. It was the first among its competitors and internationally to implement the project. Its success is clearly demonstrated by the fact that many products were almost completely sold out on the first day of the campaign, and the concept has since been adopted by Lidl Romania and Lidl Slovakia.

In addition, the company also participated in the Lollipop advertising competition this year, where experience-based solutions that do not appear on traditional media platforms but through which they directly met people were awarded. Two of the company’s projects were also recognized: the Red Bull Showrun activity in September received a bronze award in the Sponsorship category, while the Lidl Party, implemented on October 19 with the participation of Milán Koósz, received a gold rating in the Brand Experience category, a silver award in the Image Building category, and a bronze award in the B2C (Consumer Campaign) category.

Multiple award-winning product range

Lidl is guided by the principle of offering its customers high-quality products at a good price-value ratio when developing its product range. This effort is regularly recognized not only by the target group, but also by the industry, as the Pikok Pure product line among Lidl’s own brands has been recognized by Superbrands for the fourth time, and Lidl has won the Superbrands title for the 13th time this year, which once again proves the trust of customers and the outstanding esteem of the brand. In addition to quality, Lidl pays special attention to domestic suppliers and Hungarian values, thanks to which the Hazánk Kincsei product line received the MagyarBrands Excellent Consumer Brand award. In addition, the Tastino gluten- and lactose-free croissant won the category winner in the Quality Free Products competition, which clearly illustrates that the company offers high-quality, alternative products at affordable prices for customers with special needs.
