Digital shelf tags in shops
A new breed of Digital shelf tag systems appeared in Hungary. The centrally controlled data display informs the customers more reliable and cheaper in the long-terms.
The price changes, different actions and the modification of labels causes a lot of extra work and furthermore increases the possibility of tricks and errors. The new technology offers a solution to these problems – explaines the expert of Laurel Ltd. Székesfehérvár. Digital shelf tags are centrally controlled and re-writeable. The label should never be off the shelf, it is enough to modify the contents on the central computer. A discount can easily arranged by pushing a few buttons instead of hours of hard work. The two most developed version of the shelf tags are the LCD display and the e-paper. Both solutions are wireless so there is no need for cabling of the shelves. E- paper is visible and energy saving, the LCD can display more data.
