Ideological war in Bolivia, against Coca-Cola and McDonald's
The South American country of Bolivia has announced that by the end of the year, bans Coca-Cola from the country. The Bolivian Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca explained that “the 21st of December will be the end of capitalism in the country and the beginning of a new era.” He says that this day will be the end of selfishness, divisions, and the end of Coca-Cola as well.
According to Evo Morales, president of Bolivia the ban of the American multinational company will provide greater equity – even to local businesses. In addition, the consumption of fruit juices made in the neighboring Venezuela, will keep South America's economy in move, and will protect the culture. Hugo Chavez, president of Venezuela has similar views. He also recommends the consumption of locally made products to the people contrary to U.S. products. (mfor.hu)
