Plant health regulations will be tightened from December
The plant health regulations, which affect every traveler from abroad, will be tightened from 14 December – the National Food Chain Safety Authority’s (Nebih) draws attention on its website.
The new regulations, which will be applicable from 14 December, provide the mandatory control of luggage and stricter rules on plants and plant products imported in small quantities (consumption quantities).
This means that for some plants, even a single crop can only be shipped from a third country to the Member States of the European Union if they have a plant health certificate. (MTI)
