Industrial production up by 1.2% in euro area and by 0.7% in the EU
In December 2021, the seasonally adjusted industrial production rose by 1.2% in the euro area and by 0.7% in the EU, compared with November 2021, according to estimates from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union. In November 2021, industrial production rose by 2.4% in the euro area and by 2.6% in the EU. In December 2021 compared with December 2020, industrial production increased by 1.6% in the euro area and by 2.5% in the EU. The annual average industrial production for the year 2021, compared with 2020, increased by 7.8% in the euro area and by 8.2% in the EU.
