In the past seven years, retail sales in the euro area fell the most in December
In December, retail sales in the euro area have fallen with the largest extent in the euro area of the past seven and a half years, according to a statement of the European Union’s Statistical Office, Eurostat, published on Tuesday.
With a seasonal adjustment, the volume of retail sales in the euro area’s 19 member states decreased by 1.6 percent in December, and by 1.4 percent in the EU-28. it is the highest decline since May 2011. (MTI)
