December’s retail volume sales were up 1.8 percent

In December 2013 retail volume sales are estimated to have expanded by 1.8 percent from the level of December 2012. In grocery and grocery-type retail volume sales were up 0.4 percent, in non-food retail volume sales rose by 2.7 percent and motor fuel volume sales climbed 4.9 percent.
