Debrecen and Tokaj will cooperate to win the European Capital of Culture title

Debrecen and Tokaj will cooperate to win the title of the European Capital of Culture (ECB) in 2023 – Posta György, the Mayor of Tokaj told MTI on Friday.

The Mayor of Tokaj, Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county added that he agreed with Papp László, Mayor of Debrecen, that if the Hajdú-Bihar county seat would be awarded the title of European Capital of Culture among the Hungarian applicants, Tokaj would also be a part of the program. The meeting ended with positive results, while the details will be later elaborated – Posta György added. (MTI)
