Debrecen is an increasingly popular tourist destination
Debrecen is an increasingly popular tourist destination. Last year, the number of guest nights at commercial accommodations was close to 388 thousand, which is 10 percent above the growth of the national average, compared to the previous year – the city’s deputy mayor responsible for tourism said at a press conference.
Széles Diána added that on the Top 20 list of Hungarian settlements Debrecen can be found on the 10th place this year. On the list, based on the number of guest nights – only spa towns and settlements in special spa areas (Siófok, Balatonfüred) – can be found ahead of Debrecen with the exception of Budapest and Eger.
