Meat is the most expensive in Denmark in the EU
The highest meat price in the European Union is in Denmark – the European Union’s Statistical Office the Eurostat revealed on Wednesday.
According to Eurostat, the price of meat in the EU in 2016 was almost 40 percent higher than the average price in the 28 EU Member States in 2016.
Denmark’s 139.2-point consumer price index was followed by Austria (137.2), Luxembourg (136.3), Sweden (134.5) and France (131.1).
At the other end of the ranking, Poland (53.4) had the lowest meat price index in 2016, followed by Bulgaria (56.0), Romania (58.9), Lithuania (65.1) and Hungary (70.5). (MTI)
