Czerván: the sales of agriculture increased last year
Agricultural production value increased last year. On the basis of the preliminary datas it was amounted to 2,229 billion HUF, compared to the 2,168 billion HUF of the previous year – Czerván György, Minister of State of the Ministry of Rural Development (VM), responsible for agri-management announced on Friday in Budapest.
In his speech held at this year's Young Farmers Conference, the Minister of State announced that the value of agricultural production last year rose by 2.8 percent, compared to the previous year. The volume decreased by 9.2 percent, while producer prices increased by 13.3 percent. He added that the export value of the sector more than doubled since 2004. In 2004, this amount was 3 billion euros, while exports in the sector in 2012 exceeded 7 billion euros. (MTI)
