Czerván: the performance of agriculture increased substantially last year
Agriculture played a significant role in the growing performance of the Hungarian economy last year. In the first three quarters, agriculture showed a 22 percent growth, and reached a record output – Czerván György Minister of State for the Ministry of Rural Development, responsible for agri management told on Wednesday in Zalaegerszeg.
Czerván György told at the press conference of the National Agricultural Chamber, that the sector reached a record output, despite the “not the best” weather conditions. According to preliminary datas the performance of agriculture increased by 34 percent to 2,265 billion HUF in 2012, which is a record in the history of Hungarian agriculture. (MTI)
