Czerván: the new fruit and vegetable sector strategy will be completed within weeks
The fruit and vegetable sector strategy will be completed within weeks and will be submitted to the Parliament no later than the fall session. One of the important objectives of the new fruit and vegetable sector strategy is to raise the annual volume of vegetables with 1 million tons in Hungary – said Czerván György, Minister of State responsible for agri-management on Tuesday in Kecskemét.
Czerván György told at the 70 year anniversary event of ZKI Vegetable Crops Research Institute Ltd. that the government definitely want to tie the resources of the available funds of the 2007-2013 EU development cycle. About the opportunities of vegetable growing and vegetable research between 2014-2020, he said that the entire fruit and vegetable sector can expect a specific support in the new EU development cycle between 2014 and 2020.
