Czerván: wine producers expect a better than average vintage
The wine producers expect a better than average vintage, based on the quantity and quality of the grape harvest – Czerván György Minister of State responsible for agri-management said in Soltvadkert on Friday, at the 7th Martin Day celebration of the new wine.
Czerván György in his presentation explained that no grape diseases occured this year, not reducing, the quality and the quantity of the grapes. The average yield is 8.4 tonnes per hectares, while last year it was 7.4 tonnes per hectare, so this year is 3-3.5 million hectoliters of wine will be made in the cellars – he added. (MTI)
