Czerván: the output of agriculture expanded by 4.2 percent
The value of the total output of agriculture in 2013, calculated at basic prices was 2,265 billion HUF, which was 4.2 percent above the previous year's result – the Minister of State, responsible for agri management said at the opening of the 29th International Farmers’ Days.
Czerván György added that the costs of agricultural production increased with a lesser extent, than output, thus the profitability of production has increased. The net entrepreneurial income from agricultural activities was 13.2 percent higher last year than in 2012.
In recent years, agriculture has contributed significantly to economic growth. The volume of gross added value in the sector in 2013 increased by 22 percent, thus it was determining in the 1.1 percent GDP growth. (MTI)
