The farmers of Rábaköz cooperate to build a sugar factory
The farmers of Rábaköz want to produce for the domestic market and for non-EU countries, and also considering the construction of a factory. Before the EU accession dozens of factories produced half a million tonnes of sugar annually, today only one plant is operating, producing 105 thousand tons.
The idea came from farmer Kiss M. Vince. The former owners of the 35 acres area of the flax factory of Kapuvár entrusted him to care for the plant. He thought they will build the new plant there, where the carrots of the surrounding area could be processed – reports Népszabadság Online.
