Coffee and hot dogs at their peak: MOL closes a record year
MOL ends the year stronger than ever: 2025 brought an absolute record for Fresh Corner’s two iconic products, coffee and hot dogs. 66 million cups of coffee were sold in the region and 12.4 million in Hungary – a figure the company has never achieved in a single previous year. Hot dogs also set a record: another milestone was reached with 45.5 million regional and 11.5 million domestic sales.
The significance of the growth is clearly visible: after last year’s already outstanding 65 million coffee and 43 million hot dogs sales, consumption continued to strengthen on all fronts in 2025.
“We are extremely proud that we broke all previous hot dog and coffee records in the 10th anniversary year of Fresh Corner. These results not only reflect the trust of customers, but also indicate that we are on the right track: MOL’s strategy is working and we continue to build on the needs of travelers. Together with our guests, we made this anniversary year memorable,” said Péter Ratatics, Managing Director of Consumer Services at MOL Group.
He added that the record year was also contributed by the fact that on the 10th anniversary of Fresh Corner, MOL appeared in a new area, serving the railway public: “Ten years after the launch of Fresh Corner, we felt that we needed another big push to raise the consumer experience to a new level and go beyond the focus on cars. As a result, the cooperation with MÁV was established with the aim of serving the railway public as well.”
Fresh Corner – which celebrated its 10th anniversary this year – remains one of the most popular regional players in quality on-the-go gastronomy and a strategic pillar of the company in the field of consumer services.
