Group layoffs at Szallas Group, which operates Szallas.hu: the reorganization affects approximately 70 people

Szallas Group Zrt., which operates Szallas.hu, has announced a group layoff of approximately 70 people – wrote Telex. According to the report, the layoffs mainly (but not exclusively) affect developers, and the group would replace some of the lost capacity by involving an external coding company.

Szallas Group confirmed the layoffs when contacted by the newspaper: according to their information, an organizational and operational reorganization is underway, the aim of which is to strengthen the operating model and long-term competitiveness. The company indicated that this is a difficult situation for those affected, and therefore they intend to handle the process with “due care and respect.” According to Telex, the layoffs were also confirmed by the Polish headquarters.

The article recalls: Szallas.hu was founded in 2007, was purchased by PortfoLion in 2015, and then in 2022, Wirtualna Polska, listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, bought the company for 82 million euros.
