The breweries would reduce the VAT on draft beer
The big brewers and small-scale distilleries turned together to Varga Mihály National Economy Minister to extend the local dining preferential VAT on draft beer – Világgazdaság wrote. As it is known, the sales tax on food consumption dropped from 27 to 18 percent this year, and next year it will decline to 5 percent.
The letter addressed to the Minister was signed by Schillinger Attila director of the Hungarian Association of Brewers (MSSZ) and by Gyenge Zsolt president of the Association of Small Breweries (KSE), and argue in favor of the VAT reduction because Varga Mihály at a business forum in February pointed out that, if someone has knowledge of practices in other Member States relevant to the EU legislation send it to him.
