Consumer prices have fallen on an annual basis in the euro area
Consumer prices also fell in October in the euro area on an annual basis, according to Wednesday’s statement by Eurostat, the European Union’s statistical office.
In October, consumer prices in the euro area fell by 0.3 percent year-on-year, after declining by 0.3 percent year-on-year in September. The annual price declines in September and October are the largest since April 2016.
In October, for the third month in a row, consumer prices fell on an annual basis in the euro area. In August, the annual price decline was 0.2 percent. (MTI)
