Consumer prices decreased in the EU in February
Consumer prices fell by 0.2 percent in the European Union (EU) in February, on an annual basis, after the 0.5 percent decline in January – the Eurostat announced.
According to the communication on the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) negative inflation occured in twenty EU Member States in February. The consumer prices declined the most in Greece (1.9 percent), in Bulgaria (1.7 percent), in Lithuania (1.5 percent), compared to the last month in annual comparison. (MTI)
