A decline in consumer spendings
In 2013, the monthly amount of household expenditure per capita was 64 300 HUF, the survey of the Central Statistical Office (KSH) shows.
The volume of consumer spendings fell by 1.8 percent, compared to the first half of 2012. The amount spent of food and alcoholic beverages and tobacco decreased more than the average. Spendings increased in terms of clothing and footwear, transportation, communications, culture and entertainment, as well as spendings for catering and accommodation services. (Világgazdaság Online)
