Euro area retail sales declined in September
Retail sales in the euro area fell more than expected in September, according to a report by Eurostat, the European Union’s statistical office, published on Wednesday.
In September, the volume of retail trade fell by 2.0 percent in the euro area and by 1.7 percent in the 27 Member States of the European Union, adjusted for the previous month. In August, retail sales in the euro area grew by 4.2 percent and in the EU by 3.6 percent on a monthly basis. (MTI)
