The turnover of German breweries has decreased
German breweries sold 94 million hectoliters of beer in 2017, 2 percent less than in the previous year Origo quoted the data of the Brauer-Bund’s trade association.
The Brauer-Bund justified the declining turnover of the German beer gardens, with the rainy summer weather. The export stagnated as well.
According to the “Inside” German beer magazine, the turnover of seven of the leading beer brands decreased.
The Brauer-Bund is hopeful despite last year’s turnover. According to Jörg Lehmann, president of the organization, the number of breweries and the number of beer brands will increase in the next few years. (origo, MTI)
