Retail trade turnover declined in December in the euro area
Retail sales declined slightly, a bit higher than expected in December compared to the previous month in the euro area.
The European Union’s Statistical Office (Eurostat) announced on Monday that according to the seasonally adjusted data, retail sales declined by 1.1 percent in a monthly comparision in the 19-member euro zone. Analysts expected a 1.0 percent decline after the 2 percent rise in November. (MTI)
