FMCG retail trade declined in July
According to the raw data of the Central Statistical Office (KSH), the volume of retail trade in July 2022 exceeded that in July 2021 by 3.8%. The data adjusted for calendar effect, however, show an increase of 4.3%.
The volume of food and retail sale in non-specialised stores with food, beverages or tobacco predominating decreased by 2.9%. The volume of non-food retail rose by 3.2%, whereby online and mail order retail having a share of 7% in retail trade went up by 2.9%. //
