Greece’s industrial production fell in August
Greek industrial production fell for the second month in August compared to a year earlier, according to data from the Greek statistical office, ELSTAT.
Greek industrial production, adjusted for calendar effects, fell by 2.9 percent in August, after a 0.5 percent decline in July.
According to the ELSTAT statement, the production of energy products fell by 11.7 percent, while the production of durable consumer goods fell by 7.4 percent and that of non-durable consumer goods by 3.9 percent decreased, while the production of intermediate goods increased by 0.7 percent, that of durable consumer goods by 9.3 percent and that of capital goods by 19.0 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
Seasonally adjusted Greek industrial production decreased by 4.1 percent compared to the previous month in August, after recording a 0.4 percent increase in July.
