Global sales of smartphones have declined
In the last quarter of last year, 406.64 million smartphones were sold worldwide, which is a decrease of 0.4 percent, compared to the same period in 2018.
Gartner, a US market research firm announced that last year global sales amounted to 1 billion 540 million 657,000 smartphones, down 1 percent from a year earlier.
Samsung sold just over 70 million handsets in the three months to the end of December, maintaining its market leadership. Its market share for the quarter was 17.3 percent, up from a year before. (MTI)
