The foreign trade surplus of the Euro area decreased
The trade surplus of the euro area in January decreased lower than expected, compared to the previous year – according to the first estimate of the European Union Statistical Office.
In January, the euro area’s 19 member states exported goods in a value of 183.4 billion euros, 2.5 percent higher than in January 2018. Imports of goods in the Euro area January rose by 3.4 percent to 181.8 billion euros, compared to the previous year. (MTI)
