The euro area’s foreign trade deficit decreased in May
The negative balance of the foreign trade balance of the eurozone (in trade with countries outside the eurozone) was 26.3 billion euros in May, smaller than the record deficit of 32.4 billion euros in April, Eurostat announced on Friday.

The monthly foreign trade balance of the eurozone turned negative again
Last May, the foreign trade surplus of the eurozone was 12 billion euros.
Exports from the 19 countries of the eurozone to countries not belonging to the eurozone amounted to 248.5 billion euros in May, 28.9 percent more than a year earlier. Imports jumped by 52 percent to 274.8 billion euros. (MTI)
