Unemployment in the euro area fell in August
Unemployment fell in the euro area and the EU in August, according to a report by Eurostat, the European Union’s statistical office.

Less unemployed in Europe
In the euro area, the unemployment rate fell to 7.5 percent in August from 7.6 percent in July, after th 7.8 percent in June. A year earlier, in August 2020, the unemployment rate in the eurozone stood at 8.6 percent. (MTI)
