German retail sales fell in September
Instead of the expected growth, retail sales in Germany fell in September on a monthly basis.
Germany’s federal statistics office (Destatis) said on Monday that retail sales fell by 2.5 percent in real terms and 2.3 percent in nominal terms in September compared to the previous month, based on calendar and seasonal adjustments.
