The unemployment rate in the OECD has fallen
The unemployment rate in the 37 member states of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) fell from 6 percent in August to 5.8 percent in September.

Employment has expanded in OECD countries
According to data posted on the OECD website on Tuesday, the September figure is still 0.5 percentage points above the level measured in February 2020, the last month before the pandemic.
Unemployment in the OECD averaged 7.2 percent last year, 5.4 percent in 2019, and 5.5 percent in 2018. (MTI)
