The unemployment rate in the OECD fell in July
The unemployment rate in the 37 member states of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) fell to 6.2 percent in July, compared with an average of 6.4 percent in June.
According to data posted on the OECD website on Thursday, this is still 0.9 percentage points higher than the level measured in the last month before the pandemic, last February.
Last year, unemployment averaged 7.1 percent in the OECD, 5.4 percent in 2019, and 5.5 percent in 2018. (MTI)
