Unemployment rate decreased, compared to the first quarter
The unemployment rate in the second quarter of 2010 was 11.1 percent. This is 0.7 percentage points lower, compared to the previous quarter, but 1.5 percentage points higher than a year ago – reports the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
In the second quarter of 2010, the number of employees, between age 15-74 was 3 million 779 thousand, 0.5 percent less, than in the same period of last year.
This year, in the second quarter, the number of unemployed was 473 thousand, which is 24,500 less, than in the first quarter, but more than a year earlier with 71,600 person.
