The value of mergers and acquisitions decreased in Hungary last year
The value of Hungarian corporate mergers and acquisitions (M&A) decreased by 69 percent last year to an estimated 550 million USD – Dezse Margaret, managing partner of Ernst and Young told at a press conference in Budapest on Monday.
According to the survey of Ernst & Young, the Hungarian M & A market,was only the sixth in the region last year, behind Turkey (17 billion USD), the Czech Republic (8.3 billion USD), Poland (8 billion USD), Slovakia (3, 4 billion USD) and Romania (800 million USD).
The value of the transactions were disclosed at 32 percent of the transactions in Hungary, compared to the 43 percent in 2011. In Hungary, 82 transactions were concluded last year, the average value of a deal was 6.7 million USD. (MTI)
