A decrease on the Hungarian beer market
Last year, the Hungarian beer market fell by 4.45 percent, compared to the previous year, on the basis of the amount of beer sold by the four largest manufacturing companies – Csíkné Kovács Klára, president of the Association of Hungarian Brewers announced on Tuesday in Budapest at a press conference.
The president of the Association of Hungarian Brewers told MTI that the three associated member companies – the Borsodi Brewery, the Dreher Breweries and the Heineken – together with the Pécsi Brewery, (ie the four largest Hungarian manufacturers) sold a total of 6.185 million hectoliters of beer, compared to the 6.312 million hectoliters of the last year. These companies represent about 95 percent of the Hungarian beer market.
