Consumers prefer bananas after apples in Hungary. According to the data of the Central Statistical Office (KSH) Hungary’s banana imports has increased by 32 percent to 56.3 thousand tonnes between January-October 2015 compared to the same period of 2014.
According to the communication of the European Commission banana harvest in the EU increased to 661.4 thousand tonnes in 2015 compared to the previous year.
