Prices of most dairy products decreased in April
According to AKI PÁIR data, the national average producer price of raw milk in Hungary was 203.26 forints/kilogram in April 2025. Despite a 0.07 percentage point decline in fat content and a 0.03 percentage point decline in protein content, as well as a 2 percent increase in the base price, the average price of raw milk did not change significantly in April 2025 compared to March 2025, but it exceeded the average price of the same month of the previous year by 22 percent.

According to AKI PÁIR data, in April 2025, compared to the previous month, the processing sales price of sour cream and 2.8 percent fat-containing boxed fresh milk stagnated, while the prices of 2.8 percent fat-containing boxed UHT milk (–1 percent), 1.5 percent fat-containing boxed UHT milk and portioned butter (both –2 percent), fruit yogurt (–3 percent), and Trappist cheese (–4 percent) decreased. According to KSH data, the consumer price of 2.8 percent fat ESL milk (–9 percent), 2.8 percent fat canned UHT milk (–11 percent), 1.5 percent fat ESL milk (–12 percent), Trappist block cheese (–13 percent), 12 percent fat sour cream (–18 percent), portioned butter (–20 percent), 20 percent fat sour cream (–22 percent), and fruit yogurt (–23 percent) decreased in the same comparison.
